The Butterfly Returns
16 x 20 - acrylic on canvas. October 12, 2008. I was up all night and couldn't stop until this was finished. I often choose themes that I cannot explain immediately. However, answers usually come later, sometimes years later. The quote by Rabindranath Tagore "The butterfly counts not months but moments and still has time enough" is perhaps a reminder to us all of the fragility of life, friendships, love.....

A butterfly only has a handful of momenets but still blooms into something so spectacular, embracing life and adding a smile on other's lives. Our lives are so long! we should make our best efforts to do the same and make the most of every moment we have!
