"GABI, GABI" - CAMMAC
5 x 7 ins, acrylic on canvas board. July 31, 2010. Musicians going past the Lakehouse on their way to "Gaby", the cabin overlooking Lake MacDonald. It was named after Gabrielle Billet, an internationally known choral conductor (wife of David C. Briggs, who has been attending CAMMAC since the Dark Ages ...just kidding, since 1965). Gabrielle died of breast cancer in 1990. "Gabi, Gabi" is also the name of the traditional Zulu song we sang in JAZZ CHOIR with Prof. Francois Ouimet. Painted on site.
