Lahore Railway Station
20x22 ins, acrylic on Yupo. August 7, 2015. August 14 and 15 mark the anniversaries of the 1947 partition of India and the creation of Pakistan. As those dates draw near, I can't help but reminisce. We lived across from this historic railway station built by the British in 1860, where many of the atrocities took place and tens of thousands were massacred. Usually teeming with humanity now, I left the beautiful structure derelict for you to fill in the empty spaces. If those walls could just talk.......
