Ultima Cena - The Feminist last supper
30x40 ins, mixed media with rice, February 20, 2016. For years I'd been conjuring up dreams of how to portray The Last Supper in my own inimitable way. After weeks of misery and toil, here is the final version. 13 unique women around a sparse table of Goan fried fish, samosas, kebabs, naans and chicken biryani, moulding our future and that of our grandchildren. As I have quoted before, I believe that women will be the changing force towards a kinder more compassionate world. Whether we do it through food or otherwise, remains to be seen .....
