Jan. 31, 2010: With artist Gisèle Armantea in front of her work THE GREAT INDIAN HEDGE. She explained it was really a customs barrier built in 1840 by the British out of stones, rocks, cactus and thick bushes to keep the Indians (in India) out of the area where salt was stored. It ran for 2000 miles and needed 12,000 men to guard it.
